Motivation
Motivation = Motive or reason why you are doing something. The amount of reasons you have to take a certain action will determine your motivation level, but it doesn’t end with motivation. It starts with discipline. Discipline is that thing you do on the day, because you’re convinced you must do it regardless of how you feel.
1) Weight training legs is the hardest workout for me personally and I used to skip leg days in high school even though I could bench press more than double my own bodyweight, because my friend skipped leg days I also skipped leg days until I realized how ridiculous you look with a big chest and skinny legs.
2) Running 10km is nothing compared to 5 sets of squats it makes me out of breath even worse than the little burn you get from it, but I do it because it gets me into momentum to do other workouts after that. 3) It burns body fat as well. 4) Makes your heart beat slower as you get fitter. 5) Slower heart rate means better longevity.
5) Why do I have to do at 30 squats? I don’t have heavier weights and a squat rack at this stage. 6) Why do I have to do so many one legged exercises? The resistance is heavier on one leg if you have to carry everything on one leg. 7) Why do I want to put on so much resistance? Resistance brings growth. 8)
Why do I want to grow? Your bones and muscles get weaker if it doesn’t grow or get stronger over time and you will probably lose balance due to weak leg muscles, lack of coordination fall, break a hip and die quicker if you don’t get stronger. 9) I have an million other reasons in my subconscious mind that I don’t currently remember. 10) Lifting makes you look good. 11) If I die I want to be able to jump high and do crazy things before I go…
I guess my motivation levels were somewhere around 11 today and discipline 100%. I may still need more discipline elsewhere I want to write a book and it may even develop into a film, but I am horrible at this… That is why I am starting here on social media it is where I start my training.
